Brighton, 17 June 2026 – On 17 June 2026, the Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Devices (CRMD) at the University of Brighton will host the first Dissemination Event of the European project INJECTHEAL, an initiative funded by the Horizon Europe programme and focused on the development of advanced technologies for the treatment of deep chronic wounds and tissue regeneration.
The event, organised by the University of Brighton in collaboration with Tissue Click Ltd., will bring together scientific partners, researchers, healthcare professionals, stakeholders and representatives from the biomedical sector, providing an opportunity to share the project’s initial findings and discuss the future applications of regenerative medicine in advanced wound care.
Coordinated by the University of Piemonte Orientale, INJECTHEAL involves an international consortium of 12 partners from 8 European countries. The project aims to develop an innovative multifunctional, self-healing injectable hydrogel based on functionalised pectin and gelatin, designed for the treatment of deep chronic wounds and to support tissue regeneration.
The technological platform developed within the project integrates antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and pro-angiogenic components, with the goal of improving infection control, promoting tissue vascularisation, and accelerating healing processes. Thanks to its injectable nature, the system will also enable the treatment of deep wounds that are difficult to reach with conventional solutions, while reducing the need for frequent dressing changes.
The first Dissemination Event will feature the following presentations:

“The MyDress project: leveraging dressing properties for chronic wound prognosis” – Matteo Santin, Professor of Tissue Regeneration at the University of Brighton, UK
The event will also offer networking and collaboration opportunities among universities, research centres, biomedical companies, and healthcare professionals. The event will be held in English and is open to the public.
